Created as a part of our Sunnyside yards Neighbourhood planning project, this video game/app prototype aims to enhance community involvement and build consensus based on our activity-matching concept. This digital format allows residents to participate from home, bypassing the need for in-person cue cards.

In the gamified prototype, Sunnyside residents exploring a virtual map of Sunnyside Yards and selecting activities from virtual cue cards that outline space, sponsorship, and funding needs. Interactive polls and feedback tools provide insight into neighborhood preferences as well as real time data analysis based off the OpenNYC Data portal, helping residents refine proposals before submitting them to a consensus board. This tool not only informs planners of popular ideas amongst the citizen but also empowers residents to shape Sunnyside collaboratively, supporting a transparent, inclusive planning process.
